Last weekend we had a family picnic/leaf kicking event by the lake. This family of swans came right to the edge of the water and hung around for a while with quite a few people watching. Perhaps they were hoping some food would fall their way.

Swans look so graceful. I do not have a lovely 'swan like neck' and always look enviously at them!
We are just getting into picnic weather. I love eating outdoors. Pretty soon, you'll be skiing while we're sweating. I always look forward to your snow photos.
Those would be so exotic if they showed up here!
We have the white mute swans, but the native trumpeter swans are making a comeback - I saw a pair about a year and a half ago.
